Fuel Reset Button

Well, I seem to have run into a slew of problems with my 98' Explorer Sport. The latest is... turns over, but no startin. The dash shows a light that says "Fuel Reset". Anyone know what this is in ref to. I already replaced the fuel pump last year with only 60k on it and now this.
I checked the fuel pump cut off switch and this is not depressed. The schrader vavle has no gas coming through. What else could it be????

I need some serious help.

The fuel reset SHOULD be depressed.
The red button should be all the way down

Where is this located? I remember reading in the manual that when get into an accident and the car won't start that usually mean to re-set the Fuel Button. I don't plan on getting into an accident anytime soon (knock on wood) but it's good to know where to look for this button.

The reset switch is on the passenger kick panel under the carpet.

it is just to the right of the transmission hump right under the carpet in the passenger floorboard area just under the dash....

the manual for my 94 X says that it can possibly be set off from a pothole...... mine tripped not to long ago when i pounded the innerfender wells for more tire clearance....

Hey Dynamite did it try to turn over the first time like it was running out of gas? Every time you change your fuel filter, FPR or something like that, you are supposed to hit the fuel switch (intertia switch). Right after to hit that, when you try to turn it over it will start and then it gets starved of fuel.

Point being, if it ran out of gas, then the intertia switch may have been set off and needs to be reset, but if it just stopped going, it may be something else. The inertia switch is not a quick fuel cut though, it takes a couple seconds running it to drain the lines then it sputters and dies.

Sooo, on a 1st Gen, is it sposed to be up or down(when in running position)
