Fuel sending unit is a guarter tank off

OK. I've been searching but cannot find anything on this one. My guage went bad a while ago so I decided to replace it. I pulled one from a Mazda Navajo and since then has been a quarter of a tank off. Its also the Sport version. Do they have different tank sizes for the sports? I went beack to the junkyard to get another one and found another 92 I think with what I thought was same sensor. Drop the tank and pull the assembly only to find that the sending units are different sizes! :fire: Can anybody enlighten me?

im pretty sure the sports had smaller tanks as the tanks are located in about the same spot where a sport is smaller than a 4door

That sucks. Oh well I guess I'll live with it for now. I cant believe the other one I pulled was different. It must have been an updated replacement. Tahnks
