This last weekend I finally got around to changing some fluids in my Ex. The capacities turned out odd, though.
rear diff: pulled cover to drain, added ~3.25 qts to get it up to the listed distance from the bottom of the fill hole, manual says 2.75 qts.
front diff: siphoned the fluid out (had water in it
I need to extend the breather line), added roughly the recommended amount of fluid (~1.8 qts)
Mazda 5-speed: fluid started trickling out of the fill hole when I took the bolt out, then I took out the drain plug and got hit with a huge rush of purple-tinged ATF. I could only get in a little over 5 of the 5.6 pints the manual says for fluid before it started running out of the fill hole.
transfer case: I got almost enough fluid in it compared to what the manual said, less ~4 oz.
So, does this coud OK to you guys? I had the truck pretty level. I'm taking a highway trip this coming weekend and don't want to destroy something.
