I'm back with more questions

First, I replaced the fuel sender/gauge and the dash cluster but it still read empty.

Then I took the passenger seat out and poked around in the wiring. Now The gauge reads intermittently.

After filling the tank the gauge immediately reads empty. After a few starts it will read full. Over time, the gauge will read read lower and lower. I've checked the gauge level against my mileage but it still isn't accurate.

For example, at 266 mile the gauge reads 3/4 empty. When I fill the tank it will take 18.5 gallons which is nearly empty.

I've read a lot about the slosh module but I see nothing on the back of cluster that resemble this module.

Sorry for the repeditive posting but I have to fix this

That's a sign that you have a wiring problem. Keep poking while watching the gauge. Remember, the gauge takes several seconds to respond, so don't expect it to jitter like a speaker with a loose wire.

Can one expect accuracy just because the car has a dozen microprocessors? I have never seen a fuel gauge that was accurate. Every time I buy a car, I carry a gas can until I figure out how much fuel is left when the gauge says, "1/8th of a tank".

It's possible that the slosh module isn't packaged in a separate box. I have the wiring book and the slosh module is not listed in the Index or the Component Location sections.

yea my truck seems to not give me an accurate miles to empty reading, when i fill up with 22 - 24 gallons from empty it says around 325 miles left then when i stop my car at around 275 miles left it resets to about 300 - 315 but i get about 400 miles to a full tank, and when i hit 0 miles left i have about 50 til i run out of gas ( i tested this theory ) idk whats up with that?
