I never followed up on the CEL code. The guy at Autozone told me that on my model the light would have to still be on to read the code. That didn't sound right to me so I really didn't want this guy poking around under the hood. Besides, at the time it seemed to be coming on for no reason.

Traffic was horrible coming home from work. I never got above 40 MPH. I'll try the tach reading tomorrow.

Well, I've come to the conclusion that I won't be able to check my speed vs. tach vs. gears going to or from work. Too much change in elevation and too much traffic. What I'll have to do is wait until this weekend and get it out on the open highway. That way I can take a passenger with me and they can write down the info as it happens.

I won't know until this weekend but I think that 2100 rpm at 65 mph is about right. I'm assuming that's in OD. How many rpm should it be running in 3rd at that speed?
