My 96 explorer notification dash when it hits about 100-75 miles till E, it will drop fast. When i drive even one mile it drops about 10-15 miles. Just this morning i started it and it said 25 miles till 0 and i drove down my street and it jumped right to 0 miles till empty. Any ideas why its doing that??

The computer can only do so much guesswork, and will base range (miles until empty) off estimated fuel economy right at that moment (which will change drastically with speed and conditions) and how much fuel the float sensor is reading in the tank. It's not uncommon for the float sensor to be somewhat inaccurate, even ± several gallons. From how yours is acting I'd say that float very well could be bad.

No its not. I dont have much uphill or downhill traveling around here.
