I'm having some problems with my fuel system.

If I've got any lower than a half tank, I'm getting lots of pressure buildup in the gas tank. If I open the gas cap, you can hear, and see the gas fumes escaping. You can also get a really heavy gas smell up by the charcoal canister.

I need to know what could be causing pressure to be building in the tank. It seems the fuel smell is stronger near the front of the truck after some pressure has built.

Any help is great!

It sounds like the cannister purge solenoid (CANP) isn't opening or something is blocking the hose between the intake and the charcoal cannister.

Ill have to check that out.

Thanks.

could be the fuel pressure regulator. Any black smoke when you start it?
