Here is my dilema, My car is fine at first for about 10 mins and my gauge starts climbing and goes past the H and my Check Gauge light comes on, and then it drops back down to normal, and will start climbing again but not as high as the H. Anyone know what causes it? This is on my 1998 Eddie Bauer

Sounds like you need a new thermostat

Yeah, definently sounds like a sticky thermostat... $8 to fix it yourself...

Check your antifreeze/coolant level, as well. Could be low.

Just remember to check it only once the motor is cooled.

Make sure you get the ORING gasket with the Tstat. Sometimes you have to ask for it seperately.
