GEM Swapping On Stock 99 Explorer EB?

Okay so the 95 was the only one with 2WD and the vacuum controlled front diff/disconnect, I forget these details.
My 96 had 2wd/4auto/4low. In 97 they lost 2wd, and gained 4 high.

Hmm, so were there two TC changes, one for 96 and the following 97+ models? I've tried to learn the changes from examples posted here.

I don’t believe the cases themselves are much different. They just have different control schemes for the clutch.

Yes, my '95 says Control Trac 4WD on the liftgate. Dash switch labeled 2WD 4WD Auto 4WD Low.
So, where is the 4X4 Control Module and the TOC Controller located?

The 4WD module will be in the dash to the left of the radio, near the column. I think that one you can reach from underneath. The TOD module is directly to the right of the radio, seen with the radio out.

Thanks.
