Gen 2 rear bumper on Gen 1

Hey i was looking at the a thread started about lowering and saw that someone said the back bumper and side skirts from a gen 2 would work on a gen 1, does any1 have pictures of a gen 1 with the gen 2 bumper on it...

they will fit up to 97. in 98, they went to a different hatch (curved more at the bottom), so i think they changed the bumper as well.

Yes the 95-97 will interchange I have a 92 bumper on my 96. I believe you can put a 98-01 bumper on it too but then you need to mount your license plate somewhere else.

It looks practically the same except that the 95-97 bumpers have a cover where the ball hole is on the bumper it matches the cover on top of the bumper.

so i took another look around and took a really close look at the 2 bumpers
here is the 91-94 explorer sport

and heres the 95-97 rear bumper

when i look at these pictures side by side, the only thing i notice is that the 95-97 bumper has a small lip under the license plate, i do like the look of it better for a dropped truck, i may try to get one soon

If your gonna do the dropped look you can also get an s-10 front bumper for the front. They don't really make any big plastic ones for the explorer but they do for the early s-10 blazers and are square enough where you could fit it on an explorer.

hmm thats a little to much of a body kit for my liking, i would like to just get my hands on a limited edition bumper with fog lights, i really like the look of that
I'll keep the s10/blazer bumper in mind though
