getting fuel lines off the fuel filter on a 98 ranger

how do you get the fuel lines off the fuel filter. I got the metal clips that hold the line on but I thought that the lines just slide off the filter I can't get them off pleas help me!!!!

Do you have the special tool? You need one of those little round plastic line removal tools.

It looks like a tiny plastic sombrero with a hole in the top. If I were you I'd buy those rather than the metal tool. The cheap plastic things actually work better if you ask me.

thanls all got the lines off I got a metal tool that looks different from all of them. Thanks for the help in pointing me in the right direction PEACE!!
