getting new deck need help

i am buying a new deck(after my eclipse I bought has issues and my backup jvc went down I am desperate for a new deck)I went out to best buy and ultimate electronics,and with a lot of help from leengen I got it down to four choices.alpine cda-7873 Kenwood KDC-x717 Pioneer DEH-9300 and Panasonic CQ-DFX701u.I looked for the blaupunkts But they only had the lower level line.All the decks are sweet but I am leaning towards the panasonic or the pioneer,even though the alpine does just about everything.All of these decks are right around 300 the pioneer is a little more.Any comments or ideas or expierences would be helpful.Thanks alot everyone Brad in Iowa

I use the Pioneer Premier DEH-P630. I love this deck! Pioneer has great customer service and their products are reliable. Good Luck!

You know whats sad is thats the deck I just sold to my brother,becase I was buying the eclipse.That pioneer deck is a great head unit.

The new Pioneer Premier DEH-P740 is awesome too...I can play MP3s!! Im considering moving to it.

I just got my Pioneer deh-p630.......i bought it on the recommendation of a few people on this board..........AND MY GOD IT IS THE GREATEST THING EVER INVENTED!!!!!!!!!! I swear i yelled out loud right when i plugged it in! and the best part.......i got it off ebay for $150!!!!!!!!!!!!! I look at more auctions for this deck and have only seen a few go above 200.......its even on dutch auction for $212 i believe......WORTH EVERY PENNY! i wanna send they guy an extra $20 i'm so happy! A Trillion thank you's to you guys who suggested it to me.......THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Migga...was the factory serial still on the unit and the box when you got it? Be careful...ebay isn't good when it comes to warranties.

I have the Pioneer Premier P930 and I have one word..AWESOME. Great features, great tweaking, price was a little steep but well worth it, the higher pre amp voltage made a HUGE difference with my system.

I can get that deck for 389 at ultimate.The p930 is bad ass deck

Alpine

I would go with the Alpine, as I think that is the best all round deck. In addition, I have found Alpines to be a lot more reliable than Pioneer or especially Kenwood. I have owned all 3 in the past and the Alpine outlasted all of them. I have had my current Alpine for 5 years. The Kenwoods I have had always had something go out like the displays within the first year.

pioneer HU

Ultimate has got my jvc deck which has been in for service 4 times,I get power to it but no sound when speakers are hooked up,so they told me they will get back with me by wensday to see if they can fix it,if not thats 200 store credit towards my new HU,I think that pioneer deck has my name written all over it.Thanks everyone for your input,and to leengen for answering all of my questions

Pioneer is the way to go. Excellent product and a great buy for the money. There customer service is also great. Very high quality, I am on my 3rd one and I will continue to buy them. Just my 2 cents.
