I know this topic has been brought up a ton of times, but I need some help with picking an exhaust system ( or just the muffler) for my Mountaineer with a 5.0 V8 ( just like a 4 door explorer). I want the exhaust to be deep and throaty when I get on the gas, but quite when I'm cruising around town. Can someone shed some light on these questions.
1. Will I get better or worse millage?
2. Is it better to go with a cat back system or just muffler?
3. If I go with just a muffler do I take off the factory silencer that they install after the factory muffler?
4. Any real HP gains?
5. WHY DOESN'T FLOWMASTER MAKE A 4-DOOR EXPLORER CAT BACK SYSTEM?????
Thanks guys for the help.
