A glasspack is a muffler wanna-be that will make your exhaust sound like crap
The exhaust system is made up of 4 major components. The exhaust manifold or header, which attaches to the engine. The catalytic converters, which reduce emissions. The muffler, which changes the sound. And the tailpipe. Catback exhaust refers to the muffler and tailpipe.
Well what kind of custom exhaust should i get to make my 4.0 V6 sound deep and kinda loud, but not too loud so it makes a popping noise. Are there any exhaust systems that will have me feel an increase in power ?
Hell psychotic I did not realise that was you when I was on earlier. There is a place on Shawnee Mission Parkway called Midwest Muffler & Brake that sells and intalls Flowmaster systems.
naw, a glasspack aint gonna sound ok in the begining. a guy at work just put one on his 4.0 Ranger last week and we really give him a hard time. they are cheesy sounding at best on a V8 and on a V6 they create the worst sound you could possibly get from an internal combustion engine. sounds like a dying cow.
It all depends on what you are going for. Personally, I think that flowmaster sounds the best. If I were going for max performance, maybe I would have chose borla, but I really just wanted a good sounding dual exhaust setup.
