96 Limited was available with the 4.0L OHV just for future reference so if it didn't have V8 emblems it was likely a V6.

It is unfortunate that you missed out on that deal, but if you are planning to mod the engine at all I would hold out for a V8 explorer.

just got a 98. V8. everything works perfect! 134,000 miles. got it for 2000. color is tan, tan interior, leather. 4x4 works perfect. pics to come

4x4??? you mean AWD

if it has a 4WD nob AT ALL you dont have a V8 or someone modded it
