Hello everyone,

A person on another site showed me a web page that you might find extremely interesting....at least I did.
Have a look at autozone.com! There seems to be major info on the Explorers. Wiring diagrams, technical knowledge, how to's etc etc..
Take a look and let me know what you think.

Mike
P.S. I found out that you do not need to pull the transfer case out to change that seal on a 1995 but do on a 97. The transmission shop said I did.

I would be VERY skeptical on that advice you were given about the TC. The shop probably thinks you have a 1354 and not a 4405. Your transfer case is identical to the one on a 97.

Hi Jason, no its true. The case does not need to come out to change the front seal, but according to the info I got from that site it does on the 97. If I had known that earlier I might have tackled the job myself.

I wouldn't take that autozone site seriously at all.

It is WAY too general.

Even the computers in their store are wrong.

They kept trying to tell me I had fawking TTB suspension and rear drum brakes

The info from autozone.com appears to come from the Chilton manual. It even appears to have the same pictures. There was another thread about this a couple of days ago but it died quickly.

Well, if I ever get my truck back from the dealer I will at least check the wiring diagrams for accuracy.
