i like them alot. acutally not much change from my 265/75/15 but they 31 non the less. i actually think i can go 32's without a lift. it looks like i have enough room. i heard 31 was biggest you can go with no lift.

ill try and get a pic today. the X is filthy from snow/slush from a couple long road trips past 2 days.... (and some playing in a snow field my wife doesnt know about :D )

Welcome to the club. It seems you are officially addicted to upgrades;) You can tell you're addicted when you put on new tires and are already thinking about putting on the next bigger size:D

31s are generally the largest tire you can fit without rubbing when the suspension is compressed and the wheels are turned.

Hell, with a TT in the front I rubbed holes in the top of the wheel well going over dips- until I did the 3" Body Lift. ;)

And you're thinking 32s...go straight to an SAS and 35s! :D

Sorry, I'm just trying to spread the SAS disease! :p

SAS???what that?

here are some pics...she is filthy. lol

If you think that's filthy...I should take a pic of mine it's got about 2 weeks of NY snow, salt and whatever other crud is caked on it. :(

All that and I forgot to answer your question... :o

yea i like this modding thing

im gonna make my own CAI soon.

then depending on what the wifes plans are for the X next fall...ill go crazy and get to lift it.

To be honest- I wasn't thrilled with the 31s for too long, then the SAS bug came along. :D

Welcome to the club as Rick already said. I put 31's on mine less than 4 months ago...i'm already planning on an SAS once these go and at least 35's. Thanks rick :p this site is going to get a innumeral amount of "and your doing this why?" and "Oh my GOD your going to flip that thing if you just go around the corner" comments from the fiance...i'm already getting them :)

Later
CP :D

i must say im happy with them i guess. hell free tires are good. lol they not much diff from what i took off. a little noiser which the wife doesnt like.

i will begin to modify it a little more when out of college and we have 2 vehicles again. i dont have much time to mod it hardcore right now with me selling my mustang it puts us back to one vehicel and i cant afford to have it out of commission.

definitely take your time and plan your mods- there's a few things I'd have done differently if I'd taken more time and thought it through.

It's a good thing old man winter slowed me down on the SAS and gave me more time to think it through.

BTW- Welcome to the site.

modding is wondeful. i have the itch and have had it a while. look at my mustang. mustangs are my passion but ive always had a place for off roading and the X is giving me that. :)

im gonna have a new GT after college and the wife will have her new SUV so this X will go balls to the wall. :D

so right now i wanna do the basics and have fun learning all i can. heck i can do a tranny swap with my eyes closed now :)

SVO 351 block???

the SVO were turbo 4 bangers.

HMM guess I don't remember as wellas I should. It was ordered through a local performance shop in Idaho Falls . The guy specialized in tubular suspension systems for the mustang (can't remember the shop name either) anyway, He ordered the block for me it was from a totalled 94 cobra R mustang, he said it was a special limited edition motor. Personally I was 16 didn't know much and just liked the fact that I had the money, and he said I would easily make 375 ponies with no bolt-ons other than a set of gt-40 heads. Total project cost was in the neighborhood of 3,000 dollars, of course their were a few suspension and brake upgrades also. Actual dyno testing with out any bolt on's was actually more toward 325 at tire. Intake, chip, throttle body, a MAF, larger injectors and a good tuning put me up to 370 and 6 months later I blew the motor(cracked that spoecial block:rolleyes: ) and lost my DL

yes the 95 R had a 351 in it. if it was a cobra R shortblock it was from a 95. the cobra R was only made in 93,95, and 00.

still sounds like a sweet ride. id like to have a fox stang to play with. but i think ill be buying either the 05 or a newer cobra next december.

It's funny, I have been calling that motor an svo motor for a long time, I wonder how many people figure I am a complete idiot:rolleyes: So where did the letters attached to this memory come from, was there a special signifier for that engine, SVT, Sho whatever?

I think after the truck gets ready to play this summer, I might get another stang, I can't decide though if I want to go 68 fast back, 72 Mach I, or go for another late 80's 5.0 adventure. I am looking for a long term project, so The Idea of a modern High Output motor in the 68 sounds kinda neat, but anyway back to explorers.
