SVT = special vehicle team. they creat the specialty cars . like cobra lightening, etc. all the SVT cars. SVT came about in 93.

SVO was a 84-86 mustang SVO with a turbo 4 banger.

SVT's first vehicle was the 93 Cobra, SVT was formed two years earlier in 91 to begin modifing the Mustang to cobra status. SVT didn't exist when the SVO mustang and the SHO Taurus came out in the 80's

SHO = Super High Output which pertained to the 89-99 Taurus SHO. 89-95 had an all yamaha built V6 with 220hp and 215ft. lbs. The 96-99 had a Yamaha headed V8 with 235hp.

SVO (special vehicle operations) became SVT (special vehicles team) after the SVO Mustang wasn't as well-accepted as Ford had hoped. There was a "shelving" period for the name, both for financial reasons and to let the name cool off for a bit. But as far as we're concerned, they're one and the same.

I had a couple 5.0's once...damn fun cars. My 91 broke into the high 12's towards the end of her life. Sure do miss her...

Enough pony talk, welcome to the club, sounds like we'll be doing the same sort of mods along the way. 31's are going on mine within the next month or so, with a TT/shackle.

I had those same Uniroyals once...couldn't get the tread to wear down! Those things last forever...noisy though.
