Got Side-Swiped....In my DRIVEWAY!

I woke up to a big bang bang when one of my buddies backed into my truck this morning. Pictures can be found on page 4 HERE. I'll post more when it gets fixed

He hit me with another 98 Explorer.........and now either insurance company won't pay ANYTHING. Two bodyshops I went to, including the one at the dealership where I work said it was at 85% of it's total value to fix it.....So it was pretty close to being totaled....


I guess if things don't work out I'll have to fix it myself, It's too good of a truck to be totaled

Well.....that's going to be handled in the future....right now I'm focusing on getting it fixed. The bodyshop manager at the dealership where I work said the fender has to be replaced along with the chrome in the bumper. The door can be fixed. Grand Total was $2,353

Yeah, that's a little more than I paid for my Explorer. Sorry to hear.

Go to a junkyard and get a new door, fender and bumper... then just have it painted. Shouldn't cost too much for that, but why won't the insurance pay? You could have them total it and buy it back, but really you should go after his insurance company. The car was parked it's his fault.
