so me and my stepdaughter were on our way to get breakfast, and i move into the turning lane to make a right down the side street to get into the shopping center (signaled and all), and the f***ing ***** in the G35 who were in front of me in the straight lane decides to merge into my lane, and subsequently into my mounty. Thank god the only thing that happened to the mounty was scratches; the little G35 ****ed up the front fender, front bumper and passenger side skirt (kudos to my running boards).

Im just glad its just paint work that needs to be done and nothing else.

You might try a mothers clay bar it should take that paint off and clean up any scraches. Worked great for me just a sugestion.

Not bad just make sure its a shop where the insurance or shop has a life warrenty. I rolled my 95 and had major damage. They did not total but they paid for it in the long run. I had 2 additional claims on it .
Original - $9000 in 1999
2nd - $6500 in 2001
3rd- $800 in 2007

I only paid $17000 for it.

I'm taking it to a body shop that does all the work for one of the biggest ford dealers in my county so I know the quality is good, but I will deff check on the warranty.

As far as the clay bar, with the tropical storm slamming NY today and tomorrow, I'm just going to take it to the body shop monday after class and have them estimate it because there's a good section that most likely will need to be repainted. Although, the clay bar is a great idea for some other spots I have (That were my falt), like my front bumper.

went for estimates today....

Went to the first place, they wanted $1275 which i thought was a bit overpriced.

So i go to the second place. At first glance the guy says its gonna be over 1000. Then he takes a better look, goes into the garage and gets a rag with some cleaning stuff on it and wipes down the entire side and goes "just have the guy give you a couple hundred and get it detailed and polished".

It looks like nothing happened unless you get really up close (like 6") and you can see some tiny scuff marks.
