Well, the wife and I got our Kona Blue XLT 202A package with Tow and moon roof yesterday. and today the lord blessed us Wisconsites with lots of snow. Went to my parents for a barbeque and this truck is amazing in the snow. I felt in control the whole time and we were getting pounded with snow. All other cars were swirving going 20 and I was cruising at 45-50 feeling very safe. Way to go Ford! This is mine and my wife's first Ford and we couldn't be happier. I know it has only been a day but we put this through a crazy snow test.

awesome! we got hit here in NY with some snow as well. I took the EX for a drive this morning and monitored the 4WD display in snow mode. Rock solid, this truck is awesome in the snow.

Coming from a 2010 Toyota Highlander with terrible Toyo OEM tires, the Explorer is a dream to drive even with the semi low profile Hankooks.

Glad to hear that the EX works well in the snow for you. I still plan to replace the Hankooks as soon as I can. Already have Yokohama Parada Spec-X on standby. As for the Toyo, no OEM or 3 season tire (there is no such thing as an all-season) can match a dedicated Winter tire. The Winters have a much better grip on cold bare pavement due to their softer rubber compoung. That is why I put a set of Toyo Winters on my HL and it is rock solid in the snow and cold roads. Am planning on doing the same with my Ex Limited. Getting the base 17" wheels for the Winer tires next Fall.
