Grill guard recommendations

Just wondering who on here has grill guards, what kind they are and how they like them. Pics would be awesome too! Looking to spend no more then $400 or so on it, so if you could tell me what you got it for that would be appreciated too. I have spent hours searching for one but can't seem to find many quality grill guards for the Explorer. It will be going on a 1999 XLT 4x4. thanks!

i have had 2 westin guards and have been very happy with both little high in price but very stout and good looking

After hours of searching, the decision is between Westin or Manik (whichever is cheaper) and Bullett. I can't find much about Bullett but it is the only one that I have found that does not follow the contours of the front end. I like this look more on other vehicles, but not sure how it would look on the Explorer. Anybody heard anything about bullett before? And does anyone have pice of a straight up and down ( I.I instead of \./ ) grill guard? I think it looks better but since I have never seen one on an Explorer I'm not sure if it would look good or out of place not following the lines.

They have a ton of Explorer parts. I remember seeing some brush guards on there a while back... 4 or 5 different ones.

I've found a couple in my town at the truck goodies shops, but one of the guys warned me not to do it on the Ranger. He said that it's to heavy for the front end and will wear it out prematurely. I also have concerns about weight distrabution, the ass end on this thing is light already and I'm afraid with more weight on the front it'll make the rear even lighter. Anybody ahve any experance with this?
