First off, if this is a redundant question I apologize. I know it can be irritating to answer the same question over and over again. This is my first time on, I have done several searches, looked at the new member info, looked at FAQ, etc, and could not find the information I seek.
My daughter's 1999 Explorer XLT is in need of some front end parts thanks to her not listening to her Dad about driving rules. Fortunately no people or animals were injured, but the front end of her truck sure was.
I drove about an hour to purchase a grille from a Craigslist 1999 Ranger, and was disappointed to find it did not match the Explorer. Dumb me, I assumed all 99 Exlporer, Mountaineer, and Ranger trucks had identical front ends. They would if I was in charge of FoMoCo, but hey, that's another story.
So, my question: when searching for replacement parts (grille, headlight assembly, turn signal assembly, fender, etc) which models will have the correct replacement/exchange parts? Can I assume all 1995-2001 Explorer parts will work? Can I assume all 1995-2001 Mountaineer parts will work? Will any Ranger parts work, other than the fender? Thanks.
