Noob with a question...

Over the weekend, my ranger steering column started to squeal and grind. I've isolated it to what seems to be the upper part of the steering column in the cab. I have the steering column shroud off, and am looking for a point where I can get some oil to the mating parts between the column and the outside tube. I really don't want to completely dissamble if I can help it. I'm not sure how it all goes together at the upper end, so I could be way off base. Any help is appreciated.

'86 extended cab, 2.9l v6, power steering.

Thanks,

Jeff
