I have a 97 XLT v8 AWD with about 65K on it. At highway speeds, I get a noticable grinding sound from the front drivetrain (drivers side, I think), that only occurs under "slack". That is, when the vehicle is in between accelerating and decelerating. Seems to go away when there is torque in the drivetrain. <My thoughts are wheel bearing, but I wanted some other opinions.
Thanks!!
