Sorry for multiple posts but different subjects so trying to keep the threads separate. I have noticed recently that when the car is warmed up and I am in park (could be while driving too but I don't hear it due to road noise probably), there is liquid gurgling noise, hearing it come through the center stack (vents and so on). I can only think that it's the coolant recirculating. I checked the overflow tank, it's at the max level. 3 months ago I had the entire system replaced (water pump, hoses, etc.). I don't have any leaks in the driveway. Air pockets? Something stuck? Is it the coolant or something else? Thanks.

I heard that yesterday when I had my dash apart to install my radio. I had the engine off and had previously been running the AC so I think it may have been condensation.

In my case the switch was in the off position plus it was 30's last night so in my case AC wasn't on for sure.

Might be air in the coolant lines if it's obviously not overheating. It's not coming from down by the gear shifter correct?

what's the best way to remove air from the system? Open and close the reservoir <when not hot of course>?

I believe there is a vacuum tool to remove air but it's over a $100 bucks. If I do a flush, I usually just open the radiator cap to the first click, run the engine up to operating temperature with the heat on full blast and let the engine naturally burp the air. If you're having trouble getting the air pockets out, you can try upping the rpm's a bit or revving the engine a few times. Fill reservoir and rad back up, close top and see if that works. I don't believe your truck has a bleeder valve, I know my aviator doesn't. 4.6 v8

Are you seeing anything out of normal that would make you believe there is air in the system? Sometimes, you'll get temp gauge fluctuation and or no heat from the vents when on.

Actually I don't know if there's air in the system, just gurgling sound. Heat's been working and no temp fluctuations on the coolant gauge. Maybe it's not the coolant, standing water due to a lot of rain we are having? Something blocked? Would it be loud enough to create that kind of a noise while idling and not moving?

I get the same gurgling noise in our 05 eddie bauer 4.0L SOHC. It only happens on a cold start though. Heat is hot and no fluctuations in temp on the gauge so I haven't really fooled with it!
