Just like the title says. Had to give it up. The wife said the new Grandson needed a 5.0 to cruise around in so I traded my son for his '96 Contour. You have to stand on your head to get a baby seat in there. Pretty poor trade for me but commands must be obeyed
.
Saturday I picked up a 2000 5.0 with 128 thousand on it, about 110,000 less than the '98. sunroof, in console CD changer and an add on Python remote starter. The central locking is all screwy, all solenoids respond to the remote or door switch but none actually engage. I have the "door ajar" light and the only door that responds to key in ignition test is the drivers. I am going to search for broken wires in the door cluster before getting too excited as I am also having the power windows only work from the drivers door issue, that sounds like a broken wire to me.
I'm looking forward to some more years of towing with the Ex and now the kids are really enjoying theirs.
Guess it's time to update my profile.

PS: I will probably be back asking for some input on what it takes to remove the Python.
