all you would have to do is make the tube bends how you would want then instead of bringing the tubes to gether leave like a 6 inch gap between them and put a decent thickness piece of sheet metal and mount your latch/lock mechanism to that plate like FIND said just make sure your measurements are right...

My Father in law in Texas has a tube/pipe bender it got it used pretty cheap 200-300 bucks it's cool I watched him bend his own exhaust for his 50 sonething Jeep.
