Hanging from rear differential?

So I've had this thing hanging down from my truck for some time now and would finally like to solve the problem. I tried searching the forums for suggestions, but wasn't able to really find a solution with my search words.

Anyone know what this is and what I should do about it?

And here is the top of it where it looks like it goes into the top of the rear differential.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

It is just a vent hose for the rear axle.

There is/was a clip that would hold it up. I can't remember where the factory clip was. It might have been on the frame rail but I think more likely it was on that piece of metal that the upper mounts of the shock are on. Basically, just put it somewhere high and "normally" you want the end of it facing downward.
