I just got an '02 ford explorer xlt 4.0 v6 (giving specs in case it helps.) Every time I turn on my truck I have to turn the key three times ( not all the way on) and then turn it on for the truck to start. when driving i get to about 45 to 50 mph and it starts to stutter like I'm having a misfire and when I let off the gas it smooths out. I replaced my fuel filter, I had my fuel pump pressure checked and it was were it needs to be. I checked my fuse and my relay which both are good and i cleaned out my mass airflow intake system and replaced my air filter this past weekend. I was told that it could be the spark plugs and/or spark plug wires. I think it may be the coil pack. I would like to know if anyone else has been having this issue and if you were able to resolve it and how. I am going to replace my coil pack and my spark plugs and wires tomorrow and keep you posted. in the meantime if anyone has any idea of what it could be please let me know. Thank you.
