Takes unusually long to start. Sometimes it won't start, and I need to wait about 5 minutes. I thought I had a bad starter, so I replaced it. But I get the same result. Cables are clean. Any ideas?

How are the plugs?

How about the battery cables? They could be getting corroded. Also check under the hood for any loose vacuum lines or hoses. A loose or disconnected hose can hinder starting. Finally, make sure your air filter is clean.

Beyond those things, look at the fuel filter. If it has a lot of miles on it, there's a chance it is partially clogged.

Also check to make sure the spark plug wires are still good, and make sure the ignition coil is ok.

Thanks

Thanks to everybody for all the advice. Hopefully, the problem with my truck is nothing major. Take care.
