Harmonic balancer went out.

Anyone else had problems with this going out on the sport trac? i only have 46 thousand miles and it just went out? what could have caused this.

Stumbled on your post today - just bought a 2004 Trac - from records it looks like harmonic balancer was replaced about 18 months ago - had about 70K on it at that time - looks like they paid about 600 bucks to get it done ... crazy amount of money.

That's odd, they are reliable parts. Many people here will have spares, as we have replaced ours with a smaller aftermarket unit, $255.
