Not sure if this would give me any advantage or not. Would this enable more articulation? Would this have any set backs. Any info or advice on this would be great. Also if we used shackles in the back what would have to be done to the front if anything?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if gained anything out of it, as far as off roading? Can you notice it? Any more info would be great!

Derrick, I don't think there's any reason you couldn't use the extended shackles. But I don't think it will give you more articulation. You could run the f 150 spacers in the front to make it level. If you want articulation you should do the ranger leaf mod (Zimmerman mod) that's supposed to give good rear articulation.

zensius: thank you. That was the info I was looking for. So basically it would be a waste of time.

Actually, the extended shackle allows the leaf to fall further away from the frame, so it does increase both ride height and articulation. A lot of people here run the extended shackles with 5.5+ of lift. I had them on with my 5.5 lift, and will continue to use them after the solid axle swap up front. I might be adding the ranger leaf in the near future as well to gain a little more flex.

I've got a 5.5 superlift on my 93 x and warrior shackles. it does have more articulation, not much but you can tell. you migt wanna get the f150 spacers because right now, the rear of mine is sitting about an inch higher in the rear.

So what do I know?

Thanks guys. Does it change the performance on the hight way or at hight speeds? Would I need to extend my brake lines or anything? What were some of the advantages vs. disadvantages?
