Was wondering if anyone had tried to replace the rear upper ball joint only or does everyone just replace the control arm? From what ive read it doesnt look like anyone has posted about ball joint replacement only that the whole control arm has to be replaced according to manuals.

I'm going to be ordering a bunch of parts to replace here in the next month or so, and would be interested in anyones experience with this. otherwise im going to order a ball joint and a control arm and then take back what i dont use.

Thanks

I did all 4 ball joints last month. Uppers were a little bit of pain, but can be done right on the truck. Start to finish with cleanup and put tools away 6 hrs. I used all greaseable MOOG parts from ROCKAUTO.COM

MOOG K80008 upper
MOOG K8657T lower

I am sorry, I missed read, I was thinking about the front ball joints. I have not needed to the back yet. There are two different ball joint listed for the rear. If your truck came with 17" wheels, takes one parts number, If it came with 16" wheels it has a different part number.
