Has anyone used Cottman for repairs?

4 weeks and 500 miles later, all is working fine.

Shifts are consistent, on time and smooth.

So far, so good. :)

I'll post again if anything changes (during the 6000 mile warranty period).

UPDATE: Approx. 6 months and 6000 miles later -> Still shifting smoothly.

Now that the warranty is about to expire, I'm on my own from here.

Also, during this time period, I took it on a long road trip of 600 miles each way including West Virginia mountains.

At 177,000 miles, this truck is one of the best vehicles I've ever owned.

The trans shop I go to now (I used a POS cottmans and they soaked me for a 2500 rebuild that lasted less then 30k) gives you a repair cost before even taking the trans apart, and the estimate is guaranteed. They are also not part of a chain. If you can't diagnose a problem by the symptoms and by driving maybe you should be fixing transmissions.

Amen! I learned that the hard way!!!
