Could be the license plate.
Little tip regarding that:

Take off the license plate and stick a layer or two of cardboard behind it, then reattach. It'll dampen the vibrations.

the wiper arm... i know thats what it is on mine..

I used insulation with adhesive backing on it from the lumber store (like roofing stuff.....comes in a role). I put this on the tailgate on every surface I could, even the plastic on the inside.........killed many rattles. Then pull against your handle and the gap that is between the handle and tailgate......fit rubber washers in there. Also try what everyone else has suggested.

DY-NA-MAT. I just did my rear hatch with Dynamat and it killed 75% of rattles in the rear. You can do almost all of the rear hatch door with 4 sq. ft., which is the Dynamat Wedge pack which runs about $30.

Mine is the damn wiper arm

Mine seems to be coming from the third brake light...or the roof...anyone have that problem?! just DY-NA-MAT it? How much will that cost? **I heard the roofing stuff smells like tar!**

I used the roofing material and it worked great. No tar smell either. Way cheaper than Dynamat. I think I spent about $80 to do the whole truck (all interior metal panels, plastic panels, tailgate, and floor) with at least two layers.

Doing the roof is diffcult cause you have to take the WHOLE roof liner off. Also put a washer in between the cargo handle that will kill some of the noise. It took me a door kit of dynamat to do my whole cargo door. Go ebay to get dynamat if you want it a whole like cheaper than cc and bb.

I just stuffed a bunch of that foam under-carpet stuff back there, free to me, cuz we were goin to throw it away, and cured my rattlin inside.

i never did figure out what mine was. sold the truck before i figured it out.
mine didnt do it just when playin usic though.
whenever id start out from a stop the exhuast sound would rattle something in the hatch...
it sure got on my nerves....
now the hatch on the stang rattles.....
rattleing drives me nuts.
i also have a loud one sounding like its comeing from behind the dash.
one of these days im going to rip out the dask and sktuff ass much insulation as i can back there.

I just finished my Dynamatting job on my rear hatch door. There are tons of places inside that door that rattle. If you take the panel off, cover the surface in whatever material you choose, put the panel back on and trim the excess material around the trim panel, you will be left with a QUIET rear hatch door.

me too. i think it's the 3rd light

yeah my back hatch and doors rattles like heck also, my friend that owns an audio store is going to hook me up with the dynamat, but its the roll on kind. Hopefully its gonna help stopt the rattles :)

My rattling problem is the window, how do I fix that

for the price of dynamat it should remove all rattles on your truck and make it clean itself. also, the retailer you buy it from marks it up more than 75 percent (at least best buy does)

dynomat is way too expensive!!!! get this stuff:

Dead Link Removed

i used it throughout the entire rear cargo area, it made a hug difference, cut rattles by at least 75%

i used 3M rubberized undercoating inside the doors, that helped alot too, you can buy it at walmart for about 4 bux a can. one can is good for each door
