quick question yall, since yall know im going rockwells, the design of the front axle has drive flanges that keep the front locked in at all times, and so my question is, can i use my stock Tcase in 2wd with the front shaft still spinning because of hte axle still locked in, or is it going to bind up the transfer case since its not in 4wd

thanks

It will be fine as long as you dont spool/weld the front end. All the guys that swap yj and xj dana 30s in there rangers and explorers have the front drivehaft spinning. Im sure some people on this board that live in areas with crappy weather lock the hubs in the fall and unlock them in the spring. Face it though a truck with rockwells isnt going to be making cross country highway drives so I think you will be fine.

code poet, yes they make selectro hub, part number 11167 , trust me ive researched it and im lookin at 550 for a set of hubs, even ouverson engineering has a set for $500, so yeah, thats lookin out of the question
