Have Pride in YOUR Explorer!

Someday the mods will come, if the darn thing would stop breaking. The previous owner must of been lazy with the maint. on it or something. I have been rebuilding/repairing the important stuff...

dito to that!

Awesome post Black Magic...I LOVE my X, it needs a few things but what dosent. I just like having a modded explorer, talk about something you NEVER see...

With all the ran down, oil leaking, valve rattling, clear coat fading, with dirty interiors explorers I see on the road. I think having a well taken care of clean 11-year-old X is a mod in itself.

I agree with you there!

ya, I second that, hell I see 95-97s with fading rear.. D pillars? and B pillars you know what I'm talking about heh.. even 98s with faded paint.. trucks with the chrome rims like an EB whos rims are BLACK with filth, my truck, if I were to be egotistical for a second looks almost new </ego> I dont think my friends 02 S-10 shows my truck up in looking new at all

Haha this thread is about my life... well, kinda... before I even got my X, I had the clears to put on and a billet about 2 weeks later. Granted, its not much compared to some (actually, most ppl) on the forum, but its all I can afford right now. In reality, I get lots of compliments on the car because the pristine condition makes it look soooo much nicer than any other X's in the parking lot (and just about and other car in the lots too IMO) :D

Preach it Y'all!

And I would add Anyone can modify a chevy, that's why most of 'em do. It's allot more satisfing to make mods for a vehicle not really supported by the aftermarket. And the reaction is better. My current favorite is "How did you swap in the V8?" I'm about to give up explaining it and just bask in the glow of misplaced awe.

I found this site while looking for our X and Immediatly decided that the V8 was the only way to fly. That was less than 2yrs ago and I've been out of control ever since.

This site has been my inspiration and my curse. Every time I think I'm done, I see something else and go "Ooo that would be cool!"

Looking for some websites

I was wondering if anyone knew of any website to get some idea for customizing my 2000 Explorer. Some examples would be Billet grills, lowering, rims, DVD players. Thanks for your help.

Peace.....

LOVE IT!

Dudes, definitely. Just washed the my X today, and MAN. She's SOOOOO shiny and clean it makes me adrenalinize. Despite some unnoticable rust, which is creepin up on me(damn them rear fenderwells), I think shes the best damn lookin X in town. Maybe just my 2cents, but i love it and take pride in everything I do, even if its just washing 'er!!!!

Regarding tattoos, "I'm Only Getting One" SHOULD be a tattoo!:D

That is so true dude! Thats one of the reasons why i never got one. That and i didnt want to look like everybody else (oops! painting with a broad brush again, sorry)

As far as mods go, i think if it came between eating and buying something for my X, well...i need to lose a few pounds anyway, lol.

Finally a diet that just might work!

This is funny. A guy at work and I talked about this yesturday as I talk about off-roading and he is a street-racer NOT RICER!

I saw his work and it's really amazing what a guy with the ethusiest blood can do. His cars back up what the "stickers" say. hee hee hee, actually he doesn't have many at all.

The ture difference in any group between an enthusiest and a "ricer" is the bragging. Most enthusiest don't stick the hell out of their ride. As said above they did the work to themselfs, sure they love to show it off, but they don't need to fake it because no matter what anyone says it's they dream and their love.

It turely makes you appriciate the $$$ you spent on it. Makes you a safer driver and a better person!

The majority of people don't have tattoo's.

Also, like car audio stickers on your ride, why give yourself away? Putting on car audio stickers only makes you a target for theft so why use them?

With performance stickers, why would you want to give away what you have under the hood? I wouldn't want everyone to know what I've got.

You got it! Half the fun seeing the look of realization that a 30 something in an SUV just romped on it. And, oh by the way, that funny noise you heard as we went by was two little boys in the back seat laughing at you and chanting "we'er faster than you are!"

Advertising would ruin the effect.

This thread has brought a tear to my eye. *sniff* *sniff* Thanks Matt.

Wow that is true! I almost took off my stickers a few days ago. I thought the same thing, and some people (I know personally) were wanting to race me after seeing my stickers (Blazer + Bronco, I probably have the edge since the Bronco is raised with boggers, but does have a 351, and the Blazer is a stock 2.8), so taking off the stickers wouldn't have brought this race up. Another thing, I was at the gas station today and a V8 Explorer, looked like a '99 or 2000, with the badge, started up while I was filling up. He was behind me and I guess he saw my stickers, he revved his engine a few times and took off, sure sounded like he has some exhaust work, and he took off quick too. I wish he would've come over and talked before hand, could've told him about this site. Anyways, yeah, so, I guess stickers can be good for meeting people, and getting people to race you, but also show thiefs what there is. I'll probably be keeping these stickers on, mostly because I like how they look (Audiobahn's has an awesome shape). I made a promise to myself that the next sunny day I will be making a Cardomain page. Well there's my little spiel on stickers.

That's all that matters: whether or not you like them. It's your ride, you paid for it, so enjoy it.;)
