A few days ago I went out to my truck and unlocked it with the remote. It was at night and I noticed that the puddle lamps did not go on, but the interior lights did. I got in and started it up. By this time all interior lights should turn off, but they stayed on. Since that moment they have stayed on. I removed the bulbs to save myself from diconnecting the battery. Everything operates normally except the interior lights and the puddle lamps. Remote lock/unlock also works.

Disconnecting the battery overnight did not solve the problem. I don't have a "door open" lighting up except when I actually open the door.

I am thinking it is a bad relay in the engine bay fuse box.

Any ideas before I really screw something up?

You didn't leave the lights on overnight, so the truck automatically turned them off for you.. and the switch is still on.. so you took the bulbs out.. right?

Know what I mean? :D

did you check the interior light dial ?

It was the overhead console circuit.

so what exactly did you have to do to fix it.faulty wiring, fuse prob etc???

if you pull the clear cover off you'll see a floppy circuit. It burned up and you I have to buy the whole console to get it. Time to make it work on my own.
