Head lights flicker on

Hi im having this problem also with my head lights. When the lights are off i can see that my head lights flicker on and off. Any ideas?

My first thought is a bad headlight switch though there may be other possibilities. You do not say if you have an auto on off switch or light out module. Does this only happen in the off position? Does the switch feel sloppy or stiff?

Yes it only happens when then light switch is in the off position it flickers regardless if the dimmer is on or off. its 99 explorer sport without running day lights. and when all the lights are on everything is working fine.

It could either be your headlight switch or your MFS switch if you don't have a DRL module.
