I have never had this happen before. I am trying to re-adjust my headlamps because I had adjusted them a little higher than I prefer. Using measurements to the center mark on the lense I attempted to get them down to where they need to be. The passenger side one adjusted with no problem, but the driver side is not cooperating. I was able to lower the drive side, but I went a little too low. When trying to bring it back up I can't get it to rise to where it needs to be, so the driver side light beam is now a little bit too low. Is it possible that the internal "gears", which I assume are probably plastic, have gotten partially stripped and that is why I can't adjust further? Anyone else had this happen? Any suggestions, other than replacing the entire housing?

I can answer my own question. Just for fun I decided to unscrew the screw all the way and put a couple of drops of 3-in-1 oil on it. I slowly screwed the screw all the way in and then brought it back out. Now it is working as it sound and my headlight is adjusted where it should be.
