headlight problem, help please!!

Hi, I have a 96 Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. It has the little "computer" that tells your mpg, etc. A couple weeks ago it started saying check headlamp, but both headlights and foglights worked. Then, the passenger side headlight and foglight both went out for a day and came back the next day. Now, they are both completely out and both bulbs are fine, I checked them and tested them in the drivers' side and they work. I also checked the fuse in the fuse box in the interior, and that fuse is fine. What could it be? maybe a relay under the hood? I'm hoping someone has had this same problem and can tell me what is wrong. Thanks in advance!

Well, I'd say you've narrowed it down to about 1 thing, the wiring. Inspect the wiring and see if it's good.
