Hearing a clicking when I change between cold and hot

Hello,

I have been experiencing a clicking noise from two different locations when switching the temperature in my 2004 Mountaineer V6 4.0L AWD. There is a constant clicking as if the temperature actuator has failed unless the temperature gauge is on the cold setting. As soon as I get to the next line when adjusting the temperature on a manual AC system the clicking occurs from behind the dash board.

Does anyone have any ideas, or has anyone ran into this issue in the past?

Blend door motor. One of the most common failures on these Explorers. Go with an OEM part, I went aftermarket and had to do the job over again. Here's a thread on it http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=294140

Thank you for the quick response. I will be investigating the temperature blend door actuator this weekend.

Mine does the same thing, I just kick it and it goes away hahahaha.
