My driver side heated seat doesn't work. But what is weird is that it works when the remote start feature is used. After entering the car and starting it the seat heater shuts off. Any ideas on this one?

Try a battery disconnect for 20 minutes see if that resets the system

BTW there is no such thing as a 2012 Sport model, they were introduced in 2013.

Welcome to the Forum.
On my 2017, the driver's seat is only what I would describe as 'luke warm' after about 10 minutes and doesn't really get any better until I actually sit in the seat. Does you heated seat indicator stay ON or does it go OFF when you sit in the seat? Did this just start happening?
Sgt1411 is correct. If you do have a Sport it has to be a 2013.

Another member started a similar thread not too long ago. I don't know what his resolution was but when our driver seat stopped working, resetting the sync fixed ours. We have sync w/myford touch...

I will try disconnecting battery for 20 min and let you k ow what happens
Trimpackage field was required to start a profile so I just threw that in. It is a 2012 non sport
Thanks for the fast feed back!!

The indicator light on the touch screen goes off but I turn it right back on and the seat just cools down and never gets warm again

Please update your profile to show 2012 and the trim level (Base, XLT, etc,) as that can be helpful info. Thanks.

I disconnected battery for 20+ minutes no fix. Then I reset master settings to default. No change

So I noticed that when I turn on the passengers heater I hear a click and then hear the fan under the seat run. When I turn on the drivers seat I do not hear the click or the fan run.

Oh and I corrected the model of this vehicle from Sport to Limited

There are fans under the seats but they should be for the cool A/C setting as they blow whatever temp the cabin air is through the perforated seat leather.

The fan runs in heat mode as well. I know I can hear the fan under my seats when their on heat or cool.
Though, when they are on High Cool, the fan runs much faster than High Heat.

I don't get that because the seat heat is an electric heating element in the seat.

My understanding is the heated/cooled seats work a little different than just heated seats.
I know that in my Sport, the seat fan is on a low speed when the heat is on, but the fan speed doesn't change if the heat is on high/med/low like when on cool.

When I first turn on the seat heat, I can hear the fan spool up for a second or 2 and then drop way down.

I don't get that because the seat heat is an electric heating element in the seat.

The seat is a heating element on cloth seats only. The leather seats use the same Peltier system and the fan runs.

That's interesting because we tore several seats apart designing the police seat and I always saw an electric heating pad but your right they were all cloth seats.

If the leather heat system involves a fan that would explain why I have a draft coming from the front of the seat right at calf level when the seat heat is activated. I thought it was an issue with the A/C fan coming on accidentally with the seat heat.

Not disputing that there are fans but with having had 3 vehicles with heated/cooled seats I have yet to hear them running. In my opinion, that's the way it should be. :)

That's a medical issue Peter! ;)

Don't know how you can not. The AC is louder then the heat. The heat cycles.. I will try and take a video. It isn't loud if you have the radio on but if idling with it off, you can definitely hear it.

I 2nd Sgt, medical issue lol.
