Heater controls.

on my 2002 the last week or so everytime I start it and turn the temp control dial to either full cold or full hot.I am getting a what sounds like a clicking sound behind it alsmost like a door not opening . it goes click click click until i move the dial a little more than it stops.

well last night on my way to work i needed to turn the heat on and I got othing almost like teh dial is doing nothing..
any one have any eperiecne with the controls
Could ths be something broken... something loose...something like a vacuum hose disconnected??

any help wouldbe great..

i have seen a blenddoor problem with the older ones.. but this is on my 2002..

i had issues on my 2002 limited with the digital hvac controls. on very cold mornings you would hear the door moving when lowering or raising the temp. they replaced the entire box behind the center part of the dash.

oddly enough now i have a rattling noise on the drivers side vent.

either once i move into my new house in lkate July or when my brother in law's schoolgets back in the fall...i will either do it myself or let him take it and the students tear the dash apart..
