ive been registered for a while but never posted cause i gave up on my aerostar.well im back to fixin it.ive got it to full power again which has costed a good bit.i was drivin down the road after puttin new radiator hoses on and heard a pop.well the lower heater hose broke off the plastic nipple that its clamped on (pass.side inner fender).the a/c doesnt work and i dont know bout the heat, but i wanted to bypass the heater coil.is it possible to put a 180* elbow in between the top and bottom heater hose to make a constant flowing route so that i can drive it.

If your talking about the return and supply line going to your heater coil (core) ...Yes.
No heat for defrost though also.

Just to make sure were talking the same thing, you don't mean lower hose on radiator?

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the Aerostar section. You could use a piece of hose to bypass the heater core, but why bypass it instead of replacing it? It's not that difficult to do. You will need a special heater core disconnect tool.

thanks guys. Rookie- its not the radiator hose its the the lower hose beside the inner passenger fender. Brooklyn-i want the heat, but the plastic ends broke off of the hoses.its not enough hose to reach to the place to connect them. so ive put a piece of hose in between the two send/receive hoses.now its shootin water out of the overflow hose on the radiator.what would be the problem?

Motormite sells replacement plastic inserts for the hoses, so don't worry about replacing hoses or bypassing anything. They come in two sizes, so make sure that you get the correct one. Take out the old insert, and compare it to the new one. You shouldn't need any special tools since the retaining clip is broken. The hose slips on with the clip, and doesn't require any tools to install. Another option is to buy universal heater hose, and get an adapter. Take a look at this link: http://dormanproducts.com/applicati...+FI:+N:+U&c=275&cn=HVAC+HEATER+HOSE+CONNECTOR

it broke off at that valve like thing also.the bottom nipple that the hose slides over broke off.so i have 2 broken hose ends and 1 broken nipple on that valve like thing beside the inner fender.i have the hoses bypassed already thats why i was wondering what would make it run over at the radiator.

ok it has the lower nipple broken off

The heater control valve has to be replaced as an assembly since you can't get a nipple to connect onto it. Rock Auto has it for under $20. Check the vendor's section for a 5% discount coupon code.

ok ,i checked the price of the hose ends and they were $13 each.where can i get an inside latch for the sliding door window.ive looked at the parts stores around here and cant find them.

hey brooklyn i found that i have water in my oil.i was told that its a craked head or a cracked block.how can you tell which one it is.

i havent gotten the pressure checked yet but it has a lot of pressure forcing all the water out of the radiator filler cap, replaced the old cap and no water comes out radiator cap.now where the exhaust manifold connects to the y-pipe on drivers side it blowing water out.after it runs for 25-30 mins all water is gone and it runs hot.oil looks like chocolate milk.
