heater not working

Does anyone know what causes the heater to stop putting out heat? The heater tap is working, hot water is running to the heater box but no hot air comes out. Air conditioning and everything else works fine. It has climate control. Is there any common fault with 97 X limited. Any info would be great

Here and Gen Explr. I wrote a post on what to do if you don't have the $750 to get it fixed right now. Lots of threads. My 97 has this problem too.
