Yesterday when I backed my truck out of the driveway and turned the heat up a clicking started under the dash. Now no heat. The knob is at the lowest temperature no sound and when I turn it up a clicking starts. What do I need to replace to get my heating/air system working correctly?
Thanks!
Ken

Sounds like the actuator is broken

Your blend door control box(acutuator) is broken. I have an 02 that I have had to replace the one for the rear air controls 2 times already. Bad design in my opinion.

I made the same post the other day. Do a little bit of searching.

Good luck and please keep us updated!!

Heater repair

We replaced the mixer door actuator. My son was able to loosen the dash and sneak the actuator out and put the new one in. Took about 3 hours. Disassembled the actuator and the small gear was stripped.
Jake good luck. You will need small hands!!
Thanks to all!!

thanks.

Any tips on replacing it?

I have a few how to;s, but wanted to get more input on it.

my ? is . Do i have to plug in the new actuator and then turn on power to it and have the heater dial set to cold? and then install it?

got it done. works now.

I will post up more in the blend door post as more people look there.

Jake would you by chance have disassembly/re-assembly instructions?

I dont personally have a write up, but search for that big post called "blend door actuator replacement". It is over 10 pages long. that is where I got my info from.

good luck

May I ask why you were using the heat in the summer?

My AUX A/C is not working and I have that clicking noise in the back. I followed Redassaggie00 who submitted photos earlier in this forum and fixed my cooling issue. You guys are the best! I feel like I am a expert now. Anyone need help with their rear Blend Door Actuator?
