heating cooling problem

Blend door good new actuator still unable to control temp. Take actuator off and can move door to have either very hot air or very cold not able to control it with the gage. Will be grateful with any help suggestions. 97 Explorer

Manual or ATC? There are some specific pin tests for blend door control. Your control unit may be bad.

Manual and just bought a new acuator from Napa and still dead in the water.
