Incase you dont know, I have a 93 Explorer Sport, v6, blah blah. Well, I went to start my truck up and well, it started, but it sounded like it was still trying to start (while running), I first thought that it was only runnin on like maybe 3 cylinders (spark plug not sparkin) so I turned it off, and it still tries to start.. Anyone have an idea of whats going on?

Its like, i turn the truck off and the starter is still trying to crank over the engine.

Now I cant even get the key to turn in the ignition! (ive been havin problems with that)

Any ideas????

well in order for the starter to continue running after you release the key from the start position (power is still being sent to the starter) it's either a bad starter solenoid or a bad ignition wire/connection at the key...

You may need to take the steerting column shrouds off and look at the wiring goies to the ignition switch.

Lokk for anything out of place or burnt, etc.
If you have been having problems with the lock assembly and ignition switch already I would start here. It may need a new switch...
